The events taking place in Lebanon related to the murder of a senior official of the security forces are a test for the country, and will possibly lead to domestic political changes including the strengthening of March 14 Coalition, Lubnan Lebanese newspaper editor Ali Amin says.

The events in Lebanon, of course, are connected with a Syrian crisis, and the loss of security personnel Wisam Al-Hasan was the impetus for the oppositional March 14 Coalition to start the demonstration, Amin said.

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri blamed the attack on Damascus, accusing Syrian leader Bashar Assad of killing al-Hasan, who led the intelligence of the Internal Security Forces of Lebanon.

In response, the Lebanese opposition bloc March 14 coalition said the responsibility for the attack lies on the government of the country and personally on Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and demanded his resignation.
