The political prisoners problem in Azerbaijan is exaggerated, the statement was released during the Council on the political prisoners meeting on the subject current condition of human rights in Azerbaijan: problems and solutions, Trend reports.
The council `s chairman, Enver Gafarli has indicated that different NGOs now accuse the government. The given campaign is supervised by the pro-Armenian elements, he said.
According to him these problems are artificially blown up, though there are obvious problems with the human rights situation in the country.
The conference has reviewed the political prisoners problem and the total condition of human rights in the country and decided to adopt a number of documents at their next meeting.
