Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyev / Rizvan Talibov, the Chairman of the Public Union 'Returning to West Azerbaijan', and the Committee on the Protection of Rights for Ali Insanov, stated that he has postponed his hunger strike scheduled for 16 May.
Telman Novruzzade, the Attorney of Talibov stated that due to investigative actions Talibov was moved from 3 Investigative Isolation in Shuvalan, where he was held for several days, to Sumgayit Police Precinct.
As soon as the investigation ends, Talibov will be returned to isolation.
The Attorney stressed that he did not support Talibov to hold the strike but that his client intends to hold the strike upon returning to isolation. Talibov's protest is against his illegal arrest.
Talibov is accused in accordance with articles 221.2.2 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) and was sentenced to two months imprisonment by the Sumgayit City Court
