Iran to create artificial island in Caspian Sea

Iran has issued a license for the creation of the first artificial island in the Caspian Sea in the Noshahr County of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), Mayor of Noshahr County, Ali Amani, Trend reports citing the Fars news agency.

According to Amani, the design and preliminary researches of the artificial island was implemented by Pars Sazeh Company (LLC).

The official added that an announcement will be made in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022) to determine the investor and after work will begin.

“The area of the island, which will be located 1 km from the coast, is 18 hectares. The island will have a number of opportunities, including 300 entertainment boats, a 5-star hotel, a seafood restaurant, an amusement park, a sport and entertainment center, a conference hall and more,” he said.
