Azerbaijan , Baku, June 2 /Trend/

The Iran Statistics Center announced the country's unemployment ratio reached 10 percent, though the real statistics indicated the figure at 14 percent over past six months, ILNA reported quoting Secretary General of Workers House Alireza Mahjoub as saying.

Every fourth of Iranians is unemployed, he added.

Lack of precise unemployment statistics creates difficulties in solving this problem. The high number of unemployed youth evolves concerns in the society.

Economical recession and international sanctions are main reasons of increase in unemployment, Member of Parliament from Tehran Mahjoub noted.

The government's contradictory statistics about unemployment rate creates doubts among economists to determine the real unemployment rate.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised to create 2.5 million jobs and solve the unemployment problems by the end of solar year (end March 20, 2012)

Economic growth and unemployment rate have not been announced by the Central Bank of Iran's Statistic Center since past 2 years.

The International Monetary Fund forecasted zero-percent economic growth for Iran in 2011.
