Iran's cement production during first five months of current solar year (started on March20, 2011) reached 27.205 tons with 15.2 percent growth, ISNA reported quoting the secretary of the Cement Industry Contractors Union, Mohammad Hassan Pourkhalil as saying.
"The volume of Iran's cement production during past 5 months increased by 15.2 percent to 27,892 tons," he said.
Iran's cement production in last month was 6,205 million tons with 11.9 percent growth, he added.
The country's cement export in past five months was 4,468 with 13.5 percent increase comparing to same time last solar year(ended on March20,2011)
Iran stands first cement producer in the region while it ranked fourth in Asia and ninth major producers in the world.
