In 2017, Azerbaijan produced furniture for 66.5 million manats, which is 16.2 percent more than in 2016.
This is indicated in the report of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers on the results of activities for 2017.
The report reads that enterprises engaged in the furniture production in Azerbaijan both cover the needs of the domestic market, and export their products. Currently, more than 1,000 legal entities and private entrepreneurs operate in this area.
Generally, enterprises for processing wood, furniture, paper and cardboard produced goods for 147.2 million manats during the reporting period.
The growth compared to 2016 was 15.5 percent.
