Belarusian company plans to export 200 dump trucks to Uzbekistan

Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ) is planning to deliver about 200 dump trucks to Uzbekistan from 2020 to 2023, Trend reports with reference to the press service of BelAZ.

The agreement on the deal was reached within the framework of the I Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan which takes place in Minsk.

Currently, the plant’s mining equipment fleet in Uzbekistan numbers 828 cars. Among the main consumers of the BelAZ technique are large diversified enterprises – Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (MMC) and Uzbekugol.

Uzbek MMCs specializes in the extraction of precious metals. Navoi MMC is the main producer of gold and uranium in Uzbekistan, Almalyk MMC is leader in copper.

Earlier it was reported that for six months of 2019, 49 units of equipment produced by BelAZ holding were shipped to Uzbekistan.

In general, in 2019, it is planned to ship 95 units of mining dump trucks with carrying capacity from 45 tons to 220–240 tons and special equipment to Uzbekistan.

The First Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan is being held in Minsk July 29-30, 2019, within the framework of the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus.

The program of the forum covers three major areas: industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, and interaction in the humanitarian, information and communication, and scientific fields.

During the section on the agro-industrial complex, it is planned to discuss not only trade and economic cooperation, but also partnership in the veterinary field, the field of animal husbandry and breeding, crop production, and agricultural education.

The main theme of the plenary session to be held on July 30 will be the cooperation of the regions as a key factor in the development of interstate relations.
