EAEU significantly increases export of wheat flour to Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 8

Wheat flour exports from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan's increased by 22.5 percent from January through September of this year, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian economic Commission.

In general, 28,937 tons of wheat flour were exported to Turkmenistan from Kazakhstan and Russia for a total of more than $9.7 million in 9 months, which is 44.9 percent more than the amount of wheat flour exports for the same period last year.

At the same time, the share of Kazakhstan in the above-mentioned amount of wheat flour exports is $7.9 million, and Russia – $1.8 million.

According to statistics, the export of grain flour to Turkmenistan from Russia amounted to more than 239 tons, totaling $78,136.

The export of processed cereals from Kazakhstan and Russia to Turkmenistan amounted to 5,968 tons, for a total amount of $1.7 million.

The share of Kazakhstan in the amount of grain exports amounted to over $1 million, and Russia-$648,110.

From January through August of this year, the export of wheat flour from the countries of the Eurasian economic Union (EAEU) Turkmenistan increased by 40.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
