Iran provides loans to export enterprises

As many as 74 enterprises on engaged export in Iran received loans worth 8.14 trillion rials (about $194 million) during 10 months of last Iranian year (from May 21, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 321 enterprises were registered to receive loans within 10 months. The names of 173 companies have been announced to banks to provide loans worth more than 29 trillion rials (about $692 million).

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran seeks to keep Iran's trade turnover in positive balance by increasing exports. In this regard, the ministry plans to increase production, employment, and exports of non-oil products and enter new markets in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), the report said.

Reportedly, Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
