Iranian deputy minister talks about industrial parks

New jobs for 43,000 people were created in Iran's industrial parks over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The deputy minister stressed that Iran planned to restore the activities of 1,500 enterprises in industrial parks in the last Iranian year. However, the activities of 1,557 enterprises were restored. As a result, 27,000 people were employed.

Rasoulian added that a total 26 trillion rials (about $ 619 million) was spent on providing infrastructure in Iran's industrial parks last Iranian year.

“At present, 44,000 facilities are under construction in industrial parks. These facilities will cost 38 trillion rials (about $904 million),” he said.

The head noted that Iran has 828 industrial parks and special economic zones. There are 48,126 industrial enterprises operating in these industrial parks and special economic zones.
