BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Iran’s exports through the customs of South Khorasan Province (north-eastern Iran) decreased by 38 percent in value and 22 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of South Khorasan Province Customs Office Hassan Rahimizadeh said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to Rahimizadeh, a total of 116,000 tons of goods worth about $17.4 million were exported through customs of South Khorasan Province in 2 months.
The director general added that the main exported goods via the province's customs were ceramics, vegetables, cement, light hydrocarbons, diesel, dates, saffron, etc.
The customs official also said that 1,080 tons of goods worth $1.41 million were imported through customs of the South Khorasan Province within two months.
“The imported goods were mainly mining equipment and spare parts, rice and so on,” he noted.
