Azerbaijan not Receive Proposals on Privatization of Georgian Power Stations: Vice President of Azerenerji

Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 November /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / "Azerenerji JSC received no proposals on the privatization of the Georgian power stations, including Ingur heating power station," the Vice President of Azernerji, Marlen Askerov, said on 27 November.

"All statements in the media outlets, published on my behalf, regarding the invitation of Azerbaijan for the participation in the privatization of Georgian HPS, and including by Ingur HPS, do not correspond to reality. There were no such statements on my behalf," said Askerov.

Such proposals have not been received from the Georgian side power, the Vice President of Azerenerji said.

Ingur HPS is located on the border river between Georgia and Abkhazia. The weir is located on the territory, controlled by the Georgian authorities, equipment of station - in the Abkhazian territory. The electricity is distributed according to the principle: 60% to Georgia, 40% - Abkhazia.
