China has issued Turkeminstan a preferential loan to purchase equipment from China for its fuel and energy complex, and communications and transport industries.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadow approved the receipt of loans.
The Turkmen State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs signed the loan contract with the Chinese Export-Import Bank for a period for 20 years.
The loan foresees financing the purchase of oil and gas equipment from China, passenger cars, and the procurement, installation and commissioning of telecommunications equipment.
