Turkmenistan auctions over 450,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned over 450,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades about 190,000 tons of gasoline, 15,000 tons of diesel fuel, 10,000 tons of furnace oil, 110,000 tons of fuel oil, 60,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, over 60,000 tons of liquefied gas and 9,000 tons of kerosene.

Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products hits $111 million. Some 49 deals were registered at the Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Companies from Denmark, Switzerland and the Virgin Islands bought kerosene for technical purposes, low sulfur furnace fuel oil and diesel fuel.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, China, Russia, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, Iran and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
