The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced over 2.7 million tons in the offshore and onshore fields of the country in January-April compared to about 2.4 million tons in January-April 2011, SOCAR said on Wednesday.
According to the report, SOCAR produced 684,300 tons of oil in April compared to 660,900 tons in March.
According to the company about 14.6 million tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan. In particular, in April the figure was about 3.5 million tons compared to 3.56 million tons in March.
More than 45.6 million tons was produced in the country last year compared to 50.8 million tons in 2010. About 8.4 million tons of the total oil volume produced last year fell to SOCAR, compared to 8.46 million tons in 2010.
