Azerbaijan produced 2.41 million tons of oil products in January-June 2017 compared to 2.68 million tons in the same period of 2016, said a report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
SOCAR, which is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan, is currently modernizing its processing facilities, as the fuel consumption has increased in the country.
Azerbaijan produced 618,300 tons of gasoline in January-June 2017, which is eight percent more than in the same period of 2016.
Azerbaijan produced 5.17 million tons of oil products in 2016 compared to 5.45 million tons in 2015.
