By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

Italy's Skema S.p.a. can offer Azerbaijan its experience in petrochemical field, the company’s Managing Director Sandro Nasta told Trend.

He noted that Azerbaijan would be attractive for the company because it is not a huge market (not dispersive) and it is very selective.

“We could offer our experience especially in petrochemical field,” said Nasta, adding that the company is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.

As for the prospects for entering Kazakh and Turkmen markets, the managing director said first of all, Skema would find a local reliable partner for the synergistic utilization of technical resources, to exchange information, experience and best practices to lead, to commercialize and jointly develop activities among the countries.

“Unfortunately, I don’t see this will materialize in a short term,” he added.

Skema is a global market leader in the design, engineering, manufacture and servicing of complete integrated power distribution systems: local equipment rooms, modular substations and powerhouses, medium voltage switchgear, intelligent low voltage switchgear (Power Centers and Intelligent Motor Control Centers) and integrated protection and control systems.

Skema’s international client base consists of major oil and gas companies and engineering contractors worldwide, who use Skema for their onshore and offshore applications.
