BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. The liquidity in Iran increased by 37.8 percent at end of the 5th month of the current Iranian year (August 22, 2022), compared to the end of the same month of the last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to report, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 54 quadrillion rials (about $1.28 trillion) at the end of the 5th month.
“Also, the share of money in liquidity was 6.72 quadrillion rials (about $160 billion) at the end of the 5th month, which is an increase of 30.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.” the report said.
In order to manage liquidity in the country, the Central Bank of Iran took a number of steps, including an open market operation in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22).
