One of the significant developments in Azerbaijan as part of reforms in the judicial system in 2019 is the improvement of the “Electronic Court” information system, Trend reports referring to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Another significant development of judicial reforms is the adoption of the “Law on Mediation”, which provides an effective solution to any dispute that doesn’t require decision by a court or a third party.
By ensuring the activities of mediators in the judicial system, the law guarantees an increase in the efficiency and effectiveness of the courts’ activity by reducing the burden of judges in this area and a shorter time for consideration of court cases.
In addition, a private forensic examination on civil and administrative cases as well as on economic and administrative disputes has been created.
Furthermore, in 2019, a “mobile electronic court” was introduced, thanks to which it became possible to file a lawsuit, send documents, inform about the time and place of a trial via mobile internet.
