In January-June of 2006, the share of electronic automatic telephone stations (EATS) in the telephone set of Azerbaijan was 68.5%, against 57.8% in the first half-year of 2005, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan.
In Baku telephone set, the share of EATS reached 76.5% and in regions 59.7%.
Besides, it was stated by the same ministry that within this period, the volume of international incoming traffic reduced by 23.6 mln minutes and reached 100.99 mln minutes, and the volume of outgoing traffic increased by 7.41 mln minutes and reached 38.55 mln minutes.
