Kazakhstan’s Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport has resumed flights to 14 countries, Chairman of the Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastayev said, Trend reports referring to Kazinform news agency.

The number of flights has reached 47 percent, reaching 2.5 million people since the beginning of the year.”

“The number of passengers served by the airport increased by 39 percent or 4.6 million people,” Lastayev said. “Today domestic flights are intensively made throughout Kazakhstan.”

"Among them are Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Georgia, Tajikistan, South Korea, Egypt, the Netherlands and Montenegro,” Lastayev added.

“To date, the commission has made an additional decision,” chairman of the Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee said. “We will increase the number of flights to Turkey’s Antalya city. We are also working on increasing the number of flights to Ukraine and Tajikistan.”
