China will continue to enhance relations with Kyrgyzstan, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wen Jiabao said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Tuesday, the press service of the President said, KyrTAG reports.

China will continue to enhance relations with Kyrgyzstan, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wen Jiabao said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Tuesday, the press service of the President said, KyrTAG reports.

"There is no doubt that our economic and trade ties will reach next level. China will further enhance relations with Kyrgyzstan, taking into account the mutual interests of both countries," Wen Jiabao said.

President Atambayev, for his part, expressed his deep appreciation for the warm welcome and thanked the Chinese side for its financial and technical assistance. "I would like our trade and economic relations to enter a new stage," the head of Kyrgyzstan stressed.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in security, and agreed to hold inter-governmental commission in the second half of this year. In addition, the sides noted the need to boost foreign economic cooperation.

The parties also noted the need to convert the previous agreements into action and start implementing large joint projects.

Kyrgyz President is on official visit to China, during which he will also take part in the SCO Summit.
