BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. The harvest of agricultural crops in the Sughd region of Tajikistan increased from January through September 2022, the head of the department of economics and monitoring of Tajikistan's agriculture department in the Sughd region Marifat Rajabova told Trend.
According to her, in 9 months of this year, the region's farmers harvested 333,910 tons of grain crops, which is 64,180 tons more than in the corresponding period of last year.
"The harvest of vegetables from January through September 2022 in the Sughd region totaled 479,305 tons, which is 32,155 tons more than in the same period in 2021, and the volume of fruit harvest increased by 29,806 tons - up to 97,886 tons," Rajabova said.
Furthermore, during this period, the cotton harvest in the Sughd region increased by 1,905 tons compared to the same period of last year - up to 54,299 tons.
