A weekly train from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) to Issyk-Kul district (Kyrgyzstan) will be launched in summer, says the statement of State Railways of Kyrgyzstan.
The statement says that in compliance with the agreements of the Heads of the States of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the Uzbek and Kazakh railways have agreed to launch a "Tashkent-Rybachye" weekly train.
At the moment, preparatory work is being carried out on establishing the train schedule and forming the fares.
Previously, Uzbekistan's National Airlines "Uzbekiston Havo Yullari" started carrying out passenger charter flights "Tashkent-Issyk-Kul-Tashkent".
