Japanese companies interested in implementation of water treatment projects in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Japanese Oji Holdings Corporation and Ray Corporation expressed their readiness to cooperate with Uzbek companies on the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan for water purification, Trend reports referring to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, in order to strengthen and expand economic ties between Uzbekistan and Japan, attract Japanese investments in various spheres of the country's economy, as well as expand humanitarian ties, held meetings with representatives of scientific, educational, and business circles in the city of Osaka.

It is reported that meetings were also held with representatives of a number of Osaka companies, during which the parties discussed results achieved in recent years in Uzbekistan in liberalizing the economy, increasing investment attractiveness, provided benefits and preferences.

According to the information, the Tomoe Valve company, which has now created the UZBEX Japan company to start cooperation with Uzbekistan, is ready to open a representative office in the republic, invest and establish production for the Uzbek market, and export to third countries.

Tomoe Valve is one of the leaders in Japan in the production of high-quality and reliable control valves and butterfly valves with over 60 years of experience. The products are used in many industries around the world, including oil and gas, petrochemical, marine, water treatment, food, automotive, and energy. The company has offices, representative offices, and production facilities in the US, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Europe, Asia.

In addition, during the negotiations, the representatives of the Kuraray company noted that they have now started working with the Art Soft Tex and BCT Cluster companies within the framework of the project for the production of terry towels and have already received the first batches of samples.

It was noted that Uzbekistan has a huge potential for the production of high-quality products and the possibility of competing with world manufacturers such as India and China.

Furthermore, negotiations were held with Oji Holdings Corporation and Ray Corporation engaged in the production and installation of treatment facilities.

Representatives of the Japanese side expressed their readiness to cooperate with companies in Uzbekistan on the implementation of joint projects and asked for a more detailed need for treatment facilities and ongoing projects in the republic for water purification.
