On Tuesday, Armenian police discussed a verbal appeal from the presidential candidate and leader of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian to organise security of his homee, Mediamax reported.
"By order of the Armenian police chief, the relevant units are ordered to organise round-the-clock security of the candidate's house from Feb.19," the police said.
Presidential elections were held in Armenia on Feb.18. According to the results, Armenian incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan won the presidential elections scoring 58.64 per cent of the votes. First Foreign Minister of Armenia Raffi Hovannisian ranked second scoring 36.75 per cent of the votes, while Former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan ranked third scoring 2.15 per cent.
