Borjomi-Bakuriani Metropolitan Seraphim and majoritarian MP Gedevan Popkhadze have put forward an initiative to transform the Romanov Palace into a museum.
The palace was built by famous architect Leonti Benua on the orders of the Russian Emperor in the 19th Century.
Since 2004, the palace became the residence of the Georgian President and recently it was reported that the palace and grounds was transferred to the Economy Ministry.
