(dpa) - The Jordanian authorities have uncovered three Islamist networks which planned to recruit people to fight against US troops in Iraq, judicial sources said Monday.

The public prosecutor of the State Security Court has charged 13 suspects on charges of terrorism.

Ten of the defendants were arrested over the past four months, but three are still at large and will be tried in absentia, the sources said. The trials are expected to begin shortly.
