(civil.ge) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin congratulated Eduard Kokoity with his convincing victory in the November 12 presidential elections of South Ossetia during the meeting in Moscow on November 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its information note.
Karasinhas wished him Kokoity success in his activities on the top level position. The both sides have expressed belief that unanimous support of voters during the presidential elections and independence referendum will contribute to peace and stability and economic rehabilitation in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Issues related with the alternative elections, held by Tbilisi-loyal groups in South Ossetia, were also discussed during the meeting between the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and South Ossetian leader, reports Trend.
