A "play pumps" is a device to extract underground water powered by a merry-go-round. It is a fun playground equipment for rural children that also provides cleaner water while improving hygiene. In Mozambique, these recently installed pumps also unburden women and girls from the task of fetching water from faraway wells that are often unclear.
