The value of Iranˈs foreign trade balance hit $95 billion in the last Iranian year (ended March 20), a senior trade official announced, IRNA reported.
ˈThe value of the countryˈs exports hit $41.5 billion by March 20and the value of imports equaled $53.5 billion,ˈ Head of the Trade Promotion Organization Hamid Safdel said on Sunday.
He noted that the Trade Promotion Organization has helped Iranian businessmen to attend 60 domestic exhibition and 50 foreign exhibitions as well as effective effort to send 24 trade delegation abroad and accepting 26 trade delegations from other countries last year.
Safdel pointed to using potentials as brought in multilateral agreement, specially by member-states of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Group of D8 countries, and said that the Trade Promotion organization will pay more heed to target markets of Russia, India and Turkey in the current Iranian year.
