Gold coin prices continue to rise at Iran’s free market

Each Bahar-e Azadi gold coin was sold at the price of 9.69 million rials at Iran's free market on April 10.

Each Bahar-e Azadi gold coin was presented at the price of 9.68 million rials on April 9.

The Bahar-e Azadi Coin is an Iranian limited circulation minted gold coin offered by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

The U.S. dollar was also sold at the price of 30,850 rials at the free market on April 10, while the Euro was presented at the price of 42,600 rials, Iran's Fars News Agency reported.

The U.S. dollar and euro were traded at the prices of on 30,950 and 42,700 rials on April 9.

US dollar was sold at the price of 25,495 rials at Iran's forex center on April 10.

Euro was also presented at the price of 35,312 rials, while British pound was traded at 42,826 rials, according to the website of Central Bank of Iran.

Iran's national currency, the rial, lost about 50 percent of its foreign exchange value in less than a week in October 2012, standing at 35,500 versus the dollar. It was close to 10,000 in early 2011.
