Georgia's state budget in 2014 will amount to 9.9 billion lari ($1=1.66 lari). Its main priorities include social problems, health care and agriculture.
Chairman of the parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee, David Onoprishvili said the budget growth is 260 million lari. The financing of agriculture and education is to increase and will amount to 95 million lari.
"The main priorities are directed towards the people and the chance to improve their social background. A universal insurance system will operate and the financing of this area is also increased. Some 360 million lari is allocated to the social area which is more than in previous years," David Onoprishvili stressed.
The Bureau of the Parliament will determine the timetable for hearings of the state budget project in committee.
