Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec.13
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:
Georgia has decreased the customs clearance fee by five times.
This decision was made in order to create equal conditions for importers and to establish preferential tariffs, Revenue Service of Georgian Finance Ministry said.
Henceforth, customs clearance of goods worth up to 3000 lari at the customs checkpoints of Poti and Kulevi ports, as well as in the free economic zone of Poti has been reduced from 100 to 20 lari ($ 1 = 1.71 lari).
The customs checkpoint of Poti port has been enjoying preferential tariff since May 28, 2011.
