On Feb. 4, the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General, Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Chairman, Sergei Gurulyov, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
The Azerbaijani minister welcomed the guests and highlighted the activities that serve to strengthening the military cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries. He also noted the contribution of Azerbaijan and Belarus to regional security.
Zakir Hasanov touching upon the military-political situation in the region said that the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is the main threat to regional stability.
In turn, Gurulyov thanked Azerbaijani minister for a sincere welcome and said that the cooperation possibilities between Azerbaijan and Belarus have wide prospects.
Afterwards the parties discussed the relations existing in the Azerbaijani-Belarusian military and technical education as well as issues of mutual interest.
