Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 April /corr. Trend K.Ramazanova / Azerbaijan has taken significant steps for the reformation of its Army, stated Head of US National Guard.
"The reforms were implemented quite slowly, but now this process has become more active," the Head of the US National Guard of Oklahoma State, Garry White, briefed the media in Baku on 17 April.
White arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the fifth military consultations between Azerbaijan and USA, which took place on 15-16 April. The consultations are aimed at determining the level of implementation of Individual Partnership Action Plan between Azerbaijan and NATO, US assistance to form Azerbaijani army and implementation of reforms.
"Each consultation may be a step towards future generation," White said.
He said that the reforms are difficult and long processes. "Even the law-enforcement agencies of the USA faced this transition period problem," White added.
