Book in Three Languages Published on Materials of Baku International Conference

Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 August / Trend corr. J.Babayeva / A book entitled For Democracy and Stability: New Opportunities of Cooperation was published on the base of materials of the international conference on For Democracy and Stability: New Opportunities of Cooperation, held on 7 May in Baku with the organization support from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), the NAP said on 27 August.

The objective of this conference is to organize multilateral dialogue and discussions among political parties and politicians of different countries, as well as to contribute to the work on expansion and strengthening of cooperation to ensure peace, democracy and stability.

Former German secretary of state and chairman of the Germany and Azerbaijan Forum Otto Hauser, a participant of the conference, appraised the themes discussed here and stressed an important role of the conference in determining ways to develop democracy not only in Azerbaijan but also in the whole South Caucasus region. Susan Ternubul, the deputy chairman of the US Democratic Party, said that the topic of this international conference would also assume special importance for developed countries and countries in transition period and hoped that such conferences would be organized in future.

The book was published in three languages, including Azerbaijani, English and Russia, taking into consideration of actuality of the topic, as well as interest of large reader audience. The book comprises a letter of the Azerbaijani President and the chairman of the ruling NAP Ilham Aliyev, who participated in the international conference with the participation of 60 representatives from 33 countries, a meeting of the head of state with the participants of the conference, reports, statements made at the conference, as well as photo illustrations reflection process of the conference.
