The next meeting of the mechanism for the prevention of incidents, coordinated in the Geneva negotiations, will be held in Muguti, controlled by Ossetians, instead of the Georgian village of Dvani.
The press service of the EU Observer Mission (ECMM) reported that the meeting will be attended by representatives of Georgian, Russian and South Ossetian parties. The organizers of the meeting are the EU and the OSCE.
The first meeting of the mechanism for the prevention of incidents took place in the Ergneti village on April 23.
The second meeting was planned on May 7 in the village Tirdznisi. According to the Georgian side, it was disrupted by the fault of the Russian and South Ossetian parties.
The Geneva consultations on issues of stability and security were convened in October 2008 after the August war in Georgia. They are held with representatives of Georgia and Russia, UN, OSCE and EU, as well as representatives of the authorities of the conflict regions
