The Lisbon concept does not change NATO policy in relation to regional conflicts in the South Caucasus, new NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai told journalists.
"NATO is worried by the facts of violence, but the organization cannot directly intervene in the conflict resolution," he said.
He also noted that the idea behind the Lisbon summit is to continue cooperation with partner countries, with the emphasis on crisis governance, including cyber-and energy security issues.
