The 90th anniversary of ingenious personality Heydar Aliyev will be marked in Azerbaijan in a few days, Azerbaijani First Lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva said on May 7 at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.

"The memory about great politician, creator of modern Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev will live in the heart of every Azerbaijani thanks to his Azerbaijani philosophy, heritage of statehood and gigantic work," Aliyeva said.

"Heydar Aliyev was a person with a wise, powerful intellect and unbreakable will," she said.

"As a member of his family, I would like to say that Heydar Aliyev was a noble, generous and humane person," she said. "He had ordinary and fair attitude towards ordinary people despite that he faced injustice, treachery and betrayal in different periods of his life. Even people, whom he promoted once, made groundless attacks on him exactly in this hall."

Azerbaijan's First Lady added that after Heydar Aliyev was elected the Azerbaijani President in 1993, he forgave most of these people, and thus once again confirmed his greatness by ability to forgive.
