( news.sawf.org ) - British beauty Elizabeth Hurley is literally rolling in millions, but she hasn't yet paid the vicar his 800 pounds fee for conducting her wedding to Arun Nayar. Hurley wed her Indian born businessman beau at a lavish ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, in March.
And while Hurley spent a staggering 2 million pounds on her nuptials, Reverend John Partington, the vicar who conducted the ceremony, is still waiting for the actress to pay him his fee. Morris Davies, a 69-year old retired postman, revealed to the Daily Mail that Hulrey's penny pinching ways had further infuriated the locals in Winchcombe.
The villagers were already seething at the way the star-studded bash brought their hamlet to a standstill.
"She is a celebrity, I am sure that they think they don't have to fork out for anything. But a lot of the locals are not very happy about her not paying the most important person in the ceremony - the vicar," Mr Davies said.
"We were all flabbergasted when she used caterers from London rather than local produce and then tried to close the road in and out of the village. "It does herself no favors shunning the locals - John has kept very hush hush about it but the rest of the village have been chatting about the sheer cheek of it all," he added.
And while Rev Partington is maintaining a dignified silence, only saying that the arrangements were a 'private matter' and he was 'perfectly happy with the arrangements made', another local slammed the actress for not paying up, especially since Hello! magazine shelved out millions of pounds for exclusive coverage of Hurley's nuptials.
"Liz Hurley really should have paid for this by now. She made so much money from the wedding it is only fair that she pays it. As you can imagine, it is difficult for the vicar to bring up the fact that he hasn't been paid," the local insisted.
