Azerbaijan unveils growth of state budget revenues via State Customs Committee

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 22. Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues through the State Customs Committee (SCC) in January through February grew by 38.32 percent, or by 227.434 million manat ($133.8 million) compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the SCC of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, this figure exceeded 820.837 million manat, or $483.1 million (593.403 million manat, or $349.27 million in 2021).

At the same time, state budget revenues derived from customs duties increased by 23.21 percent, or 36.88 million manat ($21.7 million) in 2021 compared to 2020 and rose above 195.712 million manat ($115.19 million).

The budget revenues from VAT rose by 46.56 percent, settling at 598.807 million manat ($352.4 million) while from excise taxes – 17.93 million manat ($10.5 million), down by 11.43 percent.

The revenues from road taxes amounted to 8.386 million manat ($4.9 million), up by 45.26 percent.

In the reporting period, the State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast for state budget revenues by 111.29 percent, and the amount transferred to the state budget beyond the projection amounted to 440.37 million manat ($259.17 million).
