National secretaries of the transport corridor TRACECA (Europe-Caucasus-Asia) will discuss a new project within the corridor on Feb. 11-12 in Brussels, TRACECA National Secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev said today.
Along with the national secretaries, representatives of the transport sector of the corridor participant countries will also attend the discussions on the new project "Transport routes in the Black and Caspian Seas, transportation, transit and logistics," Mustafayev said.
According to him, after the new project will be considered and approved, the European Commission will announce a tender for the selection of a company, which will deal with its implementation.
Mustafayev didn't specify the details and terms of the new project, because these issues will be discussed by the TRACECA participant countries during the upcoming meeting.
TRACECA is an international transport cooperation program between the EU and its partner countries in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. The organization has a permanent secretariat in Baku.
At present, TRACECA member countries are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Iran.
