Official car sales increased by 2.5 times in Kazakhstan in January-April, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to the consulting company Qncepto.
Authorized dealers' sales hit 20,240 cars in this period.
Meanwhile in April official car sales increased by 155 percent to 7,026 units compared to the same period of 2012.
Lada, UZ-Daewoo, ZAZ and Chevrolet are the best sold brands in this period. This car models made up 74 percent of all car sales.
According to Qncepto company, more than a third of all sales of passenger cars in Kazakhstan traditionally falls on Lada brand. Dealers sold 2,376 cars of this brand in April.
Hyundai with 800 cars sold in April ranked second in the sales (3 times more compared to April, 2011).
Toyota with 700 sold cars ranks third.
UZ-Daewoo sold 685 cars and Chevrolet sold 468 cars in the reporting period.
Kazakhstan produced 4,361 cars in January-April 2012 (2.18 times increase compared to the same period of 2012).
Sales of passenger cars produced in Kazakhstan increased by 2.44 times to 4,315 units in January-April.
