Azerbaijan, Baku, June 26 /Trend M. Moezzi/

Mahmoud Bahmani, head of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), is scheduled to meet with private and government banks' managing directors tomorrow, Fars reported.

Stressing the need to provide manufacturers with banking facilities, disbursing the facilities in accordance with government policies and regulations, allocating official-rate foreign currency for manufacturers so they can import raw materials and manufacturers' repayment of debts to banks and legally permitted debt forgiveness are all on the agenda for the meeting tomorrow.

In recent weeks, officials have expressed their growing concerns about the health of Iran's banking system and manufacturers have complained of banks' seeming unwillingness to provide them with the credit they need to keep their businesses running.

Last week, the head of Iran's tire industry association said Iranian tire makers' stores of raw materials are running out because banks won't provide them with the credit they need.
