The specialists of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) arrived in Baku within the struggle with bird flu, the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry (SVS) told Trend.
The specialist will stay in Azerbaijan within a month and assist in the work of SVS against bird flu. He will visit the regions, where bird flu was revealed, and give recommendation on necessary measures to prevent spreading of the virus in the territory of the country.
The expert has already had meetings at SVS and plans to talk with appropriate representatives of the body soon
Earlier other specialist of FAO was arrived in Azerbaijan to assist to SVS in increase of work experience with modern laboratory equipment.
