Micro-Finance Bank of Azerbaijan received licenses for opening two new branches

MFBA has received licenses for opening two new branches in Baku. Azadlig Branch, located at 97 Azadlig Ave, will be managed by Petr Tatyanchenko, an LFS consultant and experienced specialist, Trend reports quoting the statement of the bank.

Elmler Akademiyasi Branch, located at 4a Inshaatchilar Ave, will be managed by Nizami Gadirov. Both new Branch Managers have passed the certification of the National Bank of Azerbaijan and have already begun their activity as Branch Managers.

The new branches have increased the number of MFBA's branches to ten. MFBA now has six branches in Baku (Central Branch, 20th January, Khalglar Dostlugu, Airport, Azadlig and Elmler Aakademiyasi) and four in the regions of Azerbaijan (Sumgait, Ganja, Sheki, Lenkoran).

The opening of the two new branches is part of MFBA's ongoing expansion plan, we are also expecting to open another new branch shortly in Khachmaz. We are

committed to creating a comprehensive branch network across Azerbaijan to provide the people of the entire country with European Banking standards of services and quality said Andrew Pospielovsky, General Manager of MFBA.

Both the Azadlig and Elmler Branches will offer a full range of banking services, including international money transfers, where clients have an opportunity to select from a number of independent services such as Western Union, Travelex etc. Both branches will also offer consumer loans, which are now very popular. And, of course, loans to micro, small and medium enterprises, for which MFBA is already the market leader.

MFBA is owned by five international organizations, including the BSTDB, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, KfW Development Bank and LFS Financial Systems.
