Oil production by OPEC countries increased by 0.16 million barrels per day (mln bpd) to 31.72 mln bpd during 9 months of 2011 compared to 31.56 mln bpd during the same period of 2010, the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Monthly Energy Review says.
During the third quarter of 2011, OPEC's average oil production hit 32.06 mln bpd, which is 30,000 bpd more that during the same period of 2010 and by 60,000 bpd more than in the second quarter of 2011.
Libyan oil production totaled 437,000 bpd on average during 9 months of 2011. In the third quarter of 2011 the average Libyan oil production hit 179,000 bpd compared to 133,000 bpd in the second quarter of 2010.
Iraq's oil production averaged 2.6 mln bpd during 9 month of 2011. In the third quarter of 2011 the country's oil production amounted to 2.6 mln bpd compared to 2.5 mln bpd in the second quarter of 2011.
