SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, signed a contract with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for supply of 9,000 tons of aviation fuel worth more than $7 million, a source in SOCAR told Trend May 18.
SOCAR earlier won two lots in the Defense Ministry’s tender for supply of 6,100 and 2,900 tons of aviation fuel, respectively.
“The deal’s total value will be almost 186 million hryvnias or more than $7 million. The company plans to supply aviation fuel produced at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery to the Defense Ministry,” the source said.
SOCAR exported 18,820 tons of aviation fuel in January-April 2017, as compared to 89,620 tons in the same period of 2016.
